Join us Sundays for our weekend dance classes at Sons of Hermann Hall in Deep Ellum!

 Our group dance classes are a fun and easy way to gain confidence on the dance floor and a great way to meet people. Come on your own, with a partner or friend. Wear comfortable clothes and smooth sole shoes so you can glide across the dance floor.

Balboa Swing Group Dance Class

Balboa makes dancing to fast tempos a breeze! Mixes especially well with Swing Dances. Learn new moves, polish your style and technique with Elaine Hewlett. Specialty Swing classes include dances like, Charleston, Soft Shoe and Collegiate Shag.

Sundays (4-week series)
4 – 5 p.m. All Levels Balboa
$85 per person each 4-week series.

Classes meet every week for an hour. No partner is needed to join. Come in comfortable clothes and shoes. (Flip-flops and mules can be very difficult to dance in. Also grippy athletic shoes can grab the floor, when you will want to be able to glide and turn, so a slicker-soled shoe is better.)

Salsa Group Dance Class

Salsa Group Class covers the basics of Salsa. A fun and energetic dance done to latin music.

Sundays (4-week series)
5 – 6 p.m. Beginning Salsa Ballroom
$85 per person each 4-week series.

Classes meet every week for an hour. No partner is needed to join. Come in comfortable clothes and shoes. (Flip-flops and mules can be very difficult to dance in. Also grippy athletic shoes can grab the floor, when you will want to be able to glide and turn.)

East Coast Swing/Lindy Hop Group Dance Classes

Learn the Granddaddy of all Swing Dances in four-week series with Dallas’ best (and best-loved) Lindy Hop dance instructors. The Beginning Swing Class will cover the basics of East Coast Swing and Lindy Hop. Once you have the basics under your belt, try the Intermediate Swing Class. To move up to intermediate level dance classes students should be proficient in 6 & 8 count rhythms, and have already had Charleston, Swing Out and Lindy Circle classes.

Sunday (4-week series)
6 – 7 p.m. Beginning Swing/Lindy Hop
$85* per person each 4-week series. ($25 for a drop-in class)

Classes meet every week for fifty minutes. No partner is needed to join. Come in comfortable clothes and shoes. (Flip-flops and mules can be very difficult to dance in. Also grippy athletic shoes can grab the floor, when you will want to be able to glide and turn.)

Beginner Tap Dance Classes

All levels of students are welcome to this tap dance class for adults. Ursula Hicks makes learning to tap dance easy and fun!
Classes will be held every Sunday at Sons starting January 2 from 6:00 – 7:00pm.

Classes meet once a week for one hour run in 4-week series for $85, (feel free to drop in any time your schedule allows for $25 per class). No previous tap dance experience is required. Tap shoes are recommended, but not required.
Virtual Class via Zoom will also be available for $40 for four weeks.

6 – 7 p.m. Beginner Tap Dance
$85 per person each 4-week series. ($25 for a drop-in class)
$40 per month for ZOOM option.
